Anechoic Chamber and Acoustic Test Room

An anechoic chamber and Acoustic Test Room is a room in which there are no echoes. They are used to test and determine the noise decibel ratings for products such as fan for computer, power supply etc. Anechoic chambers are commonly used in acoustics to perform experiments in nominally free field conditions. This means that all sound energy will be traveling away from the source with almost none being reflected back. Common anechoic chamber experiments include measuring the transfer function of a loudspeaker or the directivity of noise radiation from industrial machinery.


In generall, Anechoic chambers are very quiet rooms, with typical noise levels in the range between 10-20 dBA.

 
Below are some of the projects that we have succesfully excecuted in the past years.

 

Semi Anechoic Room Shah Alam.


The room is used to measure its low compressor noise. Upon completion, the sound level inside the room was measured below 25 dB(A). The room was constructed with a floating floor with a cut-off frequency at 7Hz and without wedges. 


Double-wall panels with male/female or tongue and groove connection systems were applied as well as double doors with a double seal system. The total noise reduction with the system is 40 dB.

Semi Anechoic Room at Nilai. Upon completion, the sound level inside the room was measured below 18 dB(A) as specified by the client. Double-wall panels with male/female or tongue and groove connection systems were applied as well as double doors with a double seal system.

 

Testing of the noise level to verify the performance of the chamber


Design and Build EOL acoustic chamber to test the product noise level at Johor. The required noise level is 40 dBA or below with STC 40 wall performance.



 

Design and Build a test room for car seat noise validation at Kedah. The noise level achieved is 28 dBA when external noise is 60 dBA.

 

Design and build a fully anechoic chamber at Bangi, Selangor. The chamber has been constructed with a double-layer modular panel. Internally, specially constructed metal wedges were installed around the room. The final sound measured inside the room is 15 dBA.

 

Design and build speaker anechoic box for production usage. The outside noise level measured at 80dBA and internally has achieved 40 dBA and below.

 

Dispersion Machine Acoustic Enclosure at Penang. The dispersion process is essential to create a homogeneous mixture of material. 

 

The noise has been reduced from 90 dBA down to 62 dBA.
